College football is built on traditions, but few conferences embrace them like the Southeastern Conference.
At Georgia, the traditions that define home game Saturdays in Athens stand shoulder to shoulder with those of every other great college football town in the SEC, creating one of the most distinctive atmospheres in the sport.
Those traditions include:
- The Dawg Walk outside Sanford Stadium, with music from the Redcoat Marching Band filling the air
- Calling the Dawgs: (Go… Dawgs! Sic ’em! Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof!)
- Uga the Mascot, a succession of bulldogs owned by the Seiler family since 1956
Together, those traditions create an atmosphere that is uniquely UGA, making Saturdays between the hedges as memorable as anywhere in college football.
