College football’s Week 6 was chaotic. The postgame troll posts were ruthless

Week 6 of the college football season had its share of chaos, major upsets and, of course, no shortage of social media admins ready to talk trash.

After the players handle business on the field, the folks running team accounts have a different job: making sure the other side hears about it.

From rivalry-game receipts to victory-lap memes and a few perfectly timed jabs, the best posts proved that the final score is only half the fun.

The other half is making sure everyone on the losing end knows about it.

Some of these posts were clever. Others were petty in all the right ways. All of them understood the assignment.

Here are 10 of the best college football troll posts from Week 6. Opposing fan bases, consider this your warning: The final score might sting, but the postgame trolling can hurt even more.

Boise State 38, Fresno State 31

The Broncos reclaimed the Milk Can for the first time since 2021, snapping a three-game skid against Bulldogs. Turns out, revenge looks good in blue and orange.

Georgia Tech 28, Duke 25

Duke’s revenge tour made a quick pit stop in Atlanta, where Georgia Tech’s Ramblin’ Wreck sent the Blue Devils packing. Tour’s over. No refunds.

Houston 36, Kansas State 16

The Cougars left “Manhappiness” with a 19-point win, turning Manhattan into Wildcat misery. Nothing like ruining the hometown vibes and leaving with the dub.

Kentucky 35, LSU 34 (OT)

The Wildcats beat LSU on a walk-off two-point conversion, then put the Tigers’ own bulletin-board material (yes, it was a fake quote attributed to UK quarterback Kenny Minchey; and yes, it was Minchey who ran in the winning two-point conversion) on blast. Nothing like receipts with a scoreboard backdrop.

Louisiana Tech 32, Louisiana 31

The Bulldogs edged the Rajin’ Cajuns, then asked where all that trash talk went. Turns out, barking louder doesn’t mean backing it up.

Oklahoma 27, Texas 24

The unranked Sooners stunned the top-ranked Longhorns, then delivered the most important reminder in college football: It’s 6:32, and Texas still … well, you know.

Oklahoma State 42, UCF 28

The Cowboys sent the Knights back to Orlando with a reality check. Turns out, UCF needed a stronger arsenal.

Ohio State 45, Maryland 16

The Buckeyes served up a shellacking and left the Terps shell-shocked. Sorry, we just couldn’t resist shelling out one more.

Ole Miss 52, Vanderbilt 17

The Rebels poured it on in Nashville, where the rain was relentless, but the Ole Miss offense was even more unforgiving.

South Carolina 38, Florida 19

ESPN’s “College GameDay” panel picked the Gators, who were 10.5-point favorites, across the board. The Gamecocks were quick to let the experts know that they were experts at being wrong.
